22nd March 2010 - Telefonica O2 Ireland today announced that Commercial Wireless, Ireland’s largest business to business mobile services company, is to become an exclusive dealer of O2 products and services for business customers. The new dealership will complement O2’s existing direct sales channels in the marketplace.

While Commercial Wireless has worked with O2 since 2003, the new partnership will see it exclusively cater for O2’s corporate and business customers, offering a range of services including advanced mobile hardware, bespoke device management solutions and around-the-clock support services. The new partnership will also see Commercial Wireless extend the range of O2 services it offers including fixed line services.

Commenting Alan Brown, Business Sales Director – Telefonica O2 Ireland, said, “This partnership with Commercial Wireless and their commitment to an exclusive relationship serving O2’s customers is an important step in O2’s move to become the total communications provider of choice for business customers in Ireland. The services of Commercial Wireless will continue to assist O2 in providing a substantially differentiated service to our customers across mobile, fixed line, managed services and unified communications solutions. We already know from our own research that customers want a one stop shop for all their business communications needs and this new deal will play an important part in helping us to deliver that alongside our existing direct sales channels”.

Most recently, O2 announced that it is extending its range of bundled landline and fixed broadband business services for SMEs and larger businesses. Recent research by Comreg* found that only 8% of Irish businesses currently use a single supplier for fixed and mobile communications, while O2's own research* found that 59% of businesses would prefer to have their mobile and fixed services from the one provider.**
